Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving following fatal Earsham crash

A man in his thirties has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision in Earsham.

It happened on Sunday 1 October on the A143 around 8pm.

A silver Mitsubishi and a black Ford S Max collided, and the driver of the Ford died.

The driver of the silver Mitsubishi, Lee Peartree, 34, from Roydon, Diss, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and charged with death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was remanded and appeared at Norwich Magistrate's Court on Saturday (7 October) where he was remanded in custody.

He's next due to appear on 6 November 2023 at Norwich Crown Court.

Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
