It's been a whole year since East Anglian Air Ambulance started flying around the clock, increasing their capacity to save lives across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

On the 30th June 2021 the charity announced it would be able to respond to incidents 24/7 by air - making it the first air ambulance in the region to do that.

Since then it's been tasked 921 times at night - with 259 of those involving the helicopter.

The other 662 were calls for the rapid response vehicle on the ground.

Between the hours of 7pm and 7am crews treated a total of 581 patients.

The life-saving service operates wholly on donations with plans to go 24/7 taking years to implement.
