A new domestic abuse support service has been launched for people in Norfolk.

Over £6.5 million pounds is being invested into Norfolk Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (NIDAS) over the next five years.

It's aim is to provide joined-up, free, confidential, and non-judgemental support for those affected and their children, to help them recover and build a new life free from abuse.

It's being paid for by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, Norfolk County Council, Norwich City Council and South Norfolk and Broadland District Councils.

It's being delivered in partnership with Leeway Domestic Violence and Abuse Services, Daisy Programme, Orwell Housing, Pandora Project, and Safe Partnership.

NIDAS is there for people of all genders to ensure everyone has access to a full range of help and guidance, regardless of where they live in the county.

It's the first system of its kind in the county, offering a multi-agency response to situations.

The service will be operational seven days a week, between 9am and 6.30pm on weekdays, and 9am to 3pm on weekends.

You can contact them by calling 0300 561 0555, texting 07860063464, or emailing referrals@nidasnorfolk.co.uk.
