Dippy the Dinosaur has arrived at Norwich Cathedral for the last leg of its national tour.

The iconic Diplodocus cast will be in the Nave until October.

The much-loved dinosaur spent many years in the Natural History Museum's Hinzte Hall before embarking on its current UK tour.

The skeleton cast is 26 metres long and would have weighed between 11 and 15 tonnes, but the skull is tiny, at just 61cm long.

Dippy is one of ten similar casts in the world, with the others in museums in cities including: Madrid, Berlin, Vienna, and Moscow.

He was the first to ever go on display though, first arriving in London in 1905.

Dippy had originally been due to go on display in summer 2020 but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Entry to see Dippy will be free and there is no need to book in advance (unless you are part of a group of more than six people). People will also need to adhere to the latest Covid rules and guidance.

The exhibition opens to the public at 1pm on Tuesday 13th July.
