Delays expected on roads across Norfolk this Easter
Police are asking us to stay safe and not get distracted
Anyone heading away this Easter can expect delays across Norfolk.
New figures from the RAC found drivers will embark on up to 17 million leisure trips by car this Easter bank holiday.
With Good Friday and Easter Sunday set to see a large number of journeys made, likely leading to long delays, Norfolk Police are asking people to stay focused and not get distracted.
We spoke to Police Inspector Will Drummond, who had this message:
"Focus on your driving, focus on getting to your location safely.
"Don't look at possible distractions! It's very tempting just to pick up your mobile phone or swipe on the dashboard to select media or your sat nav, but it's safer to just focus on getting to your location safely."
They have also confirmed there will be an increased police presence on roads across the county this Easter weekend.
The National Highways are also temporarily lifting around 1,400 miles of roadworks from Thursday to help alleviate the queues.
