Dead body found on Gorleston beach

Police have informed the family of missing Mark Bland

The body of a man has been found on Gorleston beach.

Police were called to the coast this morning (Saturday 30th January) at 10.25am after a member of the public found the body on the shore line.

Officers are yet to formally identify the body but have informed Mark Bland's family.

A Spokesperson from Norfolk Police said: "Whilst formal identification procedures are yet to take place, the family of 44-tear-old Mark Bland, who was reported missing in Gorleston on Friday 29th January, have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file be prepared for the coroner ahead of an inquest which will take place in due course."
