It's a vital weekend for Norwich City supporters.

The club return to the Championship tomorrow (12/09), hoping to start their new season on the front foot.

After the agony of Premier League relegation last season, just two months ago, The Canaries are hoping to bounce-back with a promotion challenge.

'It's good experience, but it won't help us at Huddersfield'

Boss Daniel Farke's record in the league speaks for itself, finishing top in the 2018/19 season with 94 points.

His side will once again have 46 league fixtures this season, eight more than in English football's top tier.

The German manager was quick to remind fans that going-up will not be easy, in a notoriously gruelling division.

He told The Greatest Hits: "It will be a difficult task, without any doubt.

"We know the teams, we know the clubs, we know what is necessary to do - to be successful. We also know how to win the league.

"It's good experience, but it won't help us at Huddersfield.

"The next game we have to be fully switched-on and fully focused ... deliver again with quality work".

The Canaries lost 3-1 at Luton Town in the league cup last weekend, despite going five games unbeaten during pre-season.

Fans are also facing life without full-back Jamal Lewis, who's been sold to Newcastle United for a reported fee of £15 million.

'It's important we stick together'

Not to be deterred, Farke gave this rallying cry to supporters:

"We'll rise again - that's our message and that's definitely the plan.

"We showed already in the past, even during difficult times, that we stick together.

"It's a new adventure, and we're all unbelievably excited to go.

"It's important that we ... fight together".

Kick off at the John Smith Stadium is 15:00 (GMT).
