Covid-19 impact on Norfolk jobs & business to be discussed

The impact of coronavirus on jobs and businesses in Norfolk will be considered by the County Council’s scrutiny committee today (18 November).
Over the last few months, the committee has investigated how the council has tackled different aspects of the pandemic. The latest phase will look at the economic impact.
Scrutiny committee chair, Councillor Steve Morphew, said:
"We’re continuing our work to look at the impact of COVID-19 on the people of Norfolk and we are now looking at what it means in terms of jobs, livelihoods and businesses.
"Although everything continues to be dominated by COVID, we have to look at what we can take from this experience. Managing the present and preparing for the future requires us to ask uncomfortable questions and challenge things that are done because they have always been done that way. If we are to stay positive and find the best, most constructive way through and out the other end of this period, thorough scrutiny is essential.
"I will be pleased to hear from any businesses who want to make submissions to the committee."
