It's been confirmed the coronation of King Charles III will be shown to the public on a big screen in Norwich next month.

A 5x3m screen will broadcast the once in a lifetime even on May 6 at Chapelfield Gardens, with festivities also planned in the city throughout the day.

Visitors are being urged to bring their own chairs, rugs and picnic hampers.

Food, including cake and ice cream, will be made available, along with hot and chold drinks.

Children's activities including face painting and balloon modelling will also be on offer on the day.

The announcement echoes similar plans from Breckland Council, which will see big screens set up in Attleborough, Dereham, Thetford, Swaffham and Watton.
