Safe standing areas to be introduced at Carrow Road
They'll be in place for the 2024/25 season
Norwich City's confirmed it will be introducing safe standing areas to Carrow Road for the 2024/25 season.
Safe standing will be installed in the Lower Barclay, Thorpe Corner (Snake Pit) and a section of the away supporter area over the coming summer period.
What's a safe standing area?
Safe standing areas allow supporters to stand for the a match.
You don't have to stand in these areas, but fans might not be able to see the whole pitch if they are seated when surrounded by standing supporters.
How can season ticket holders get access?
Supporters wishing to relocate their season ticket seat into the Lower Barclay or Thorpe Corner, must join a safe standing waiting list, by Friday, March 15.
The club will then contact supporters after this to arrange a seat relocation, subject to availability.
"It was important that we properly consulted our wider fanbase and the relevant safety authorities"
Norwich City executive director Zoe Webber said: “Safe standing is something we’ve been keen to implement at Carrow Road for some time, but it was important that we properly consulted our wider fanbase and the relevant safety authorities.
“We’ve had some very engaging conversations with supporter groups and official supporter panel, as well as some important feedback from season ticket holders. We’d like to thank all of those that have engaged with the club throughout this process.
“We also understand that safe standing may not be for everyone and we’ll do our utmost to accommodate supporters in other areas of the ground should they wish.”
