Care home hosts date night for couple's 66th wedding anniversary
Derek and Phyllis hadn't held hands for over four months because of the coronavirus pandemic

Staff at Laurel Lodge care home in Norwich have held a special date night to help two residents celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary.
Phyllis has been at the lodge since June and Derek recently made the move to be closer to his wife after months of socially distanced meetings.
Coronavirus also meant the happy couple couldn't celebrate their 66th anniversary back in February.
Once Derek had arrived at the home the couple were given an invitation to their date, which took place last Friday (23 October).
In a team effort, manager Danielle became a chef for the night to cook their meal, two carers came in on their day off to help out as waitresses and the deputy manager and another carer played piano and guitar to provide an atmosphere.
One carer, Ashleigh, spoke about why she wanted to be there: "I could be at home right now watching TV and sitting in my dressing gown, or I can come here and make them smile."
The couple's daughter Heather was also involved in the surprise, providing her Dad with his best suit and Mum with her favourite outfit to make it special.
Happy Anniversary Derek and Phyllis!
