Police investigate burglaries in Beccles & Walberswick

They happened early yesterday morning

Police are conducting enquiries into two burglaries that took place in Beccles and Walberswick yesterday (22 March)

The first took place in Beccles at about 1.55am at the Co-Op Store in Swines Green.

Offenders smashed the bottom glass panel of the door to the shop and stole a number of items, primarily cigarettes. The group have then made off from the scene in a dark coloured car. (crime number - 37/13934/21)

The second report came in a 2.40am of a burglary at Walberswick at the Co-Op on The Street when an alarm was sounded at the premises. Cigarettes and alcohol were stolen with the tills forced open. The suspects fled the scene in unknown direction in unknown vehicle. (crime number - 37/13933/21)

Enquires are on-going and anyone who saw any suspicious activity or knows who was responsible should contact Lowestoft CID, quoting the relevant crime reference number.
