'A kind, friendly lady, who would assist in helping anyone out'.

The brother of a woman found dead at her home in Gorleston has paid tribute.

68 year old Linda Hood was discovered at the property in Cherwell Way on Friday June 11.

Linda Hood's brother, Tony Green, said: "I am deeply saddened to hear the awful news of how my beloved sister Linda has died, she was a kind, friendly lady who would assist in helping anyone out.

"I really want to urge for anyone who has any information to come forward and assist the police with this serious investigation".

House to house enquiries were made in the area by police on Tuesday June 15.

Earlier this week a portal was set up for anyone with information to submit directly to the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation team, who are treating Linda's death as murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Phill Gray said: "We know this incident will have caused a lot of concern in the local community, however we have a team of dedicated detectives working on this case and officers will remain in the area over the coming days.

"We encourage members of the public to speak with them, about any concerns they may have.”

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to submit information through the portal or contact Detective Chief Inspector Phill Gray in the Major Investigation Team on 101 quoting Operation Osgood.

Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
