Armistice Day has been marked in Breckland.

Council members, staff and representatives marked a minute's silence at 11am this morning (11 November), to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflict around the world on behalf of the nation.

Cllr Roy Brame, Chairman of Breckland Council, said:

“Remembrance Day is the day we remember the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country during times of war and peace. As we stand here in Breckland, in peace and safety, we pay our respects to all of the fallen, all of the wounded and all who served in conflicts over the last 100 years. Today, as we should every day, we shall remember them all.”
