It's thought a body found in Swanton Morley is that of a missing pensioner.

Margaret Smith was last seen on Sunday evening (13 June) - the 87-year-old's family has been informed, although formal identification is yet to take place.

Police were called to Elsing Road at around 2.20pm yesterday afternoon (15 June) after an elderly woman was found unresponsive on the ground. Emergency services attended, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
