Banham Zoo tiger moves to Swedish zoo
It's hoped Kira will start her own family there to help safeguard the future of her species
Norfolk's Banham Zoo has said goodbye to one of its furry friends.
Last week, Amur Tiger Kira left for a the Nordens Ark Zoo in Sweden.
The move was after a recommendation from the European Breeding Programme (EEP), and it's hoped Kira will start her own family in her new home, to help safeguarding the future of her species.
Kira was born in 2021 to mum, Mishka, and dad, Kuzma, alongside her brother Luka, who went to a new home at The Big Cat Sanctuary earlier this year.
In a post on social media, Banham Zoo said Kira "will be greatly missed by all".
