Norfolk Police are investigating two counts of arson and a possible hate crime in Norwich.

Officers were called to Gentleman’s Walk at 2.52am on Sunday 28th July following reports of two men setting fire to pride flags on a stall on the market.

They then proceeded to also set fire to a shop, Lisa Angel, on Lower Goat Lane before fleeing the scene.

Multiple emergency services, including fire service, were on the scene.

Both fires were extinguished and no one was injured.

The force tells us both incidents are being treated as arson.

The incident in the market is also being treated as a hate crime, with investigations continuing.

Lisa Angel has been contacted for comment.
