Police appeal after assault and theft in Lowestoft

It's after a man was reportedly punched in Lowestoft.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was reportedly punched by a woman who accused him of stealing a bicycle.

On Friday 7th May at around 2.30pm, a woman approached a man at the doorway to his property in Thurston Road.

She accused him of stealing a bicycle before reportedly punching the man in the arm and trying to take his bike.

During the altercation, the man suffered a cut to his arm.

The woman then left the property, taking with her a Wilko carrier bag containing the man's OnePlus 6T mobile phone, coat and groceries.

The woman has been described as white, in her mid 20s-30s, with dark brown hair, and was wearing a headscarf.

Anybody with information, or saw anyone behaving suspiciously in the area at the time, or anyone with relevant CCTV or doorbell camera footage, is asked to contact Lowestoft Police Station quoting reference 37/23667/21.
