ASLEF train drivers join strike in Norfolk
Rail strikes are also taking place on Friday and Saturday, this week
It's the third day of consecutive rail strikes across Norfolk and beyond- with ASLEF train drivers taking industrial action today.
It means there'll be reduced service on all Greater Anglia lines- with trains finishing earlier than they would normally.
"That really does have a big impact on us"
Andrew Wood is the assistant manager of the Compleat Angler pub, which is next to Norwich station.
He says the strikes are having a big impact on their business:
"We will probably lose a third of our revenue on a normal week. You've got football which has been moved to the Sunday which is Sunday service.
"So that costs us even more money rather than playing on the Saturday when people can get to the ground and get home quite easily.
"But now the trains and buses running hourly, that really does have a big impact on us."
"We have now got to the stage where we're all working to live"
He says this action is only making a bleak situation-even worse:
"The problem now is that we're all going to struggle, and it means the luxuries are going to be out of the window. We have now got to the stage where we're all working to live.
"The small and independent pubs will go under. Gas, electric and water bills are going up and that raises the price of our stock, which means we have to raise our prices.
"As a customer you then have a choice of, do I warm my home and eat or do I have a social life. The social life is the one that goes."
