A man has died after a crash on the A47 near Hockering early this morning.

Police were called to the scene - on the Dereham-bound land at East Tuddenham - at 8:43am, finding a black Iveco truck had collided with a red Yamaha motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed in both directions at the Hockering junction and Mattishall roundabout and but has since been re-opened.

The driver of the truck, a man in his 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who captured dashcam footage at the scene to get in touch.
