A stretch of the A47 at East Winch has been closed after a major two vehicle traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.57am this morning (2 July), following reports of a crash.
An entire road closure has since been put in place between A10 Hardwick Roundabout (near Kings Lynn) and the A1122 (near Swaffham).
Local ambulance, police and fire services remain at the scene.
The closure is essential to ensure the emergency services can attend to the scene effectively.
It is expected that the closure will remain in place for the next few hours, so drivers are advised to find alternative routes.
A spokesperson from Norfolk Constabulary said: "Police were called to A47 at East Winch at 7.57am today following reports of a two vehicle collision.
"Ambulance and fire are both on scene and there is a full road closure in place which is expected to last for some time.
"We remain on scene."
