18-year-old motorcyclist is seriously injured after a collision on the A11

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision on the A11, north bound, just after Red Lodge.

Officers were called just before 6pm yesterday (Friday) to reports of a collision between two cars and a motorcycle.

The vehicles involved were a blue Ford Fiesta, a silver Ford Fiesta and a red Honda motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old man, is believed to have suffered serious injuries to his leg.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Paramedics and fire service personnel were also at the scene.

Road closures and diversions were in place for a number of hours.
