130-mile egg and spoon race underway in memory of North Norfolk poultry farmer

A 130-mile egg and spoon relay is currently underway in memory of a North Norfolk poultry farmer who suffered with depression.
Patrick Joice lived in South Raynham, near Fakenham and died in 2019 after being diagnosed with a rare cancer.
Now the NFU are leading the efforts to celebrate his life by raising money for the rural East Anglian mental health charity YANA.
Aimee Mahony is one those currently on the walk.
She told us how she got to know the man they're doing this in memory of:
"I worked closely with Patrick because he's a big driving force behind the NFU's poultry industry programme. He was a big advocate of helping people develop their personal development and setting goals and ambitions, not only for himself but helping other people achieve theirs as well. After he passed away, we wanted to continue his legacy".
"He was a wonderful man, he was very kind, determined, ambitious and he liked to have fun. He also liked to push the boundaries, like this challenge. Where we have recruited people from across the poultry industry, family and friends of Patrick and colleagues at the National Farmers Union".
