12 to 15 year olds in Norfolk can now book themselves a Covid vaccine appointment.
Thanks to the NHS, who've been setting up centres to ensure more young people can get jabbed.
This service is being offered on top of the programmes currently being delivered in schools and beyond.
Dr David Vickers, the medical director of Cambridgeshire's NHS Trust stresses that those wanting an appointment can't just turn up when you fancy it.
"Children will still be able to get vaccinated through the schools programme and they will be able to go on the national booking system or call 119, to get vaccinated that way. But It's important to say that you have to book an appointment to get vaccinated through this system, children can't just walk into the centre, they have to book".
He also told us that these vaccines are completely safe for children and will help protect their family and friends:
"It's been delivered to millions of children around the world and there has been no evidence of any safety issues. We know it's also been given to million and millions of adults and again it's shown to be a very safe vaccine. It's really important that children get protected, so they reduce transmission to each other and to their parents and Grandparents".
He went on to say that children getting vaccinated will diminish the threat of the virus, for everyone:
"It think it will help reduce the spread of covid and should reduce the number that are unable to go to school, due to covid infection. It will also help protect others around them".
Dr David Vickers, the medical director of Cambridgeshire's NHS Trust says thankfully children aren't being hospitalised with the virus
"We're having quite a number of young people becoming Covid positive and being unable to attend school. Happily for young people they're much less likely to have severe illness. So we're not seeing huge numbers of children going to hospital".
