£100k theft in Beccles

Bikes and equipment were stolen from a shop

Police are appealing for witnesses to a commercial burglary that took place in Beccles.

It took place at some point on Sunday (5 September) at about 10:50pm and Monday (6 September) at 6:50am at the Pedlaz specialist electrical cycle shop on Common Lane.

Approximately £100,000 worth of bikes – 18 in total - and equipment were stolen.

Police enquiries so far have established that a high sided panel van of a light colour left the area after a brief period of time of less than 10 minutes outside the premises. Officers suspect this vehicle could be a Mercedes long wheelbase sprinter van hat was reported stolen at the end of August from the Northampton area.

Enquiries are on-going and anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, knows who was responsible or knows the whereabouts of any of the bikes should contact Lowestoft police, quoting crime number: 37/49122/21
