Man taken to hospital after early hours stabbing in Manchester city centre

Greater Manchester Police are now asking anyone with information to come forward

A cordon's in place in part of Manchester city centre after a man in his 30s was stabbed and taken to hospital.

It happened on Withy Grove just before 7am this morning.

The victim's injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.

Greater Manchester Police are now asking anyone with information to come forward.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a stabbing on Withy Grove, Manchester, at around 6.45am today (6 March).

"Emergency services attended and a man in his 30s was found with injuries and taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be serious or life threatening.

"A cordon is in place whilst an investigation continues and lines of enquiry are followed up.

"Anyone with information is asked to report it online or via our LiveChat service at www.gmp.police.uk.
