Wayne Rooney 'slaps' wrestler
United striker clashes with WWE star in what's thought to be a stunt.
Wayne Rooney caused a stir at the wrestling on Monday night when he slapped WWE star Wade Barrett in what’s believed to be a stunt.
The United skipper was taunted by Lancashire-born wrestler Barrett who’s had a feud with Rooney dating back to a twitter spat last year.
After Rooney taunted Irish wrestler Sheamus, Barret got involved by confronting the England star and prodding him in the chest.
Rooney wasn’t impressed and responded with a slap which had Barrett theatrically falling to the floor as the crowd went wild at the Manchester Arena.
