[WATCH] Thieves leave car ablaze on Cheadle High Street after attempted bank robbery
Thieves set car on fire after attempted ram raid.
Shoppers in Cheadle High Street were left stunned as thieves attempted a bank robbery this morning before setting fire to a car used a part of the raid.

Around 9.15 this morning up to six men tried to ram open the door of the Lloyds bank on the high street with a Ford Fiesta.
One eyewitnessed said she saw the men carrying sledgehammers and chainsaws at they attempted to break into the bank just before opening time.
The thieves are believed to have left empty handed before setting fire to the Ford Fiesta and escaping in a Land Rover.
