With further delays to the opening of Co-Op Live announced this evening, Manchester's AO Arena has stepped in to host some of the rescheduled shows.

Co-Op Live has released a statement, summarising the changes, saying 'We are aware our actions have frustrated and angered ticketholders. We know you've incurred significant disruption, and are finding a way to help make it right'

Earlier, it was confirmed that last night's gig, American rapper 'A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie' will now perform at the AO Arena on Saturday, saying he 'wont give up that easy'. His gig last night was cancelled at the last minute when a part of the Co-op Live's air conditioning and heating system came loose.

No one was injured but the venue management decided to pull the plug on the performance.

Now, Take That have also confirmed their May shows will take place at the AO Arena too. In a statement online the band said: 'Given the ongoing technical issues around the opening of Co-Op Live we have taken the difficult decision to move our May shows to the AO Arena where we have enjoyed many great nights over the years. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but we wanted to give our fans as much notice as possible.

'We're mindful many of you will already have travel and accommodation plans in place, so we have chosen this option to minimise inconvenience to as many people as possible.

'Our dates in June in Manchester remain unaffected.'

Keane, who were due to play at the new venue on Sunday have also released a statement saying they are trying to reschedule their show, which also will not be going ahead as planned.

Originally, Peter Kay was lined up to open Co-Op live on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24th April, but this was rescheduled the day before he was due to perform, and further pushed back four days later.

Other shows that have been affected by the delay to the venue opening include two Olivia Rodrigo gigs, which were due to take place tomorrow (Friday 3 May) and Saturday.
