Two teenagers charged after 18 year old sexually assaulted in Wigan
The investigation was launched after an attack last Monday
Two teenage boys have been charged after a serious sexual assault in Wigan last week.
The 16 year old boy from Essex and 17 year old from Bedfordshire are both accused of rape after an incident in the Aspull area in the early hours of Monday 18.
Neither can be named for legal reasons.
The 16 year old appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Saturday (April 23) and had been remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance in Bolton next month,.
The 17 year old was due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court today.
The victim, an 18 year old woman, is getting specialist support.
