Two injured in explosion in Tameside

Two people were rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital after an explosion at a house in Hyde this morning which left a flat completely gutted.

Emergency services were sent to the terraced property on Meadowcroft Court at 10:45. Two people are in hospital with burns.

A builder working at a nearby construction site was able to rescue two people from the flat which was ablaze after the explosion.

Tony Cantwell spoke to Key 103 and told us why he doesn't think he's a hero.

An investigation's now been launched to find out what caused the blast.
