Two arrested after Rochdale fire

Five people, including children, were hurt in the blaze

Officers investigating a suspected arson in Rochdale have made two arrests.

A 45-year-old man and a 16-year-old male have been arrested on suspicion of arson. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

At 8:30pm on Wednesday 4 September, we were called to reports of a fire at an address on Halifax Road in Rochdale.

Emergency services attended and five people, including three children, were treated for injuries. Thankfully they are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
