Tribute to Manchester Mum killed in Fire

The family of a woman who suffered 70 percent burns when she was allegedly set on fire has paid tribute.

The children of a woman who died after an alleged petrol bomb attack on her home in Newton Heath have released a tribute to her.

Shortly before 9.45am on Monday 29 February 2016 police were called to an address on Surbiton Road in to reports of a fire. 49-year-old Julie Archer suffered serious burns. She was taken to hospital via air ambulance but sadly died in hospital.

Julie’s children have paid tribute to their mum.

“Mum was funny and outgoing, she was always smiling and loved to make people laugh and was the life and soul of the party.

“She was a lovely mum and grandma, she was nurturing and she always put everyone else first.

“The smallest thing meant the world to mum, and she was always able to make the best of a bad situation.

“We will miss our mum so much, but she will always be in our hearts”

Stephen Archer (31/10/1965) has been charged with murder and arson with intent to endanger life. He appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Monday 7 March 2016.
