The family of Sadiq Al-lami pay tribute to him saying he ‘touched the hearts of everyone’.

A murder investigation was launched in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday 23 January 2024) - following an incident at the junction near Parrs Wood on the A34 Kingsway in East Didsbury.

The victim, a 30-year-old man has now been identified as Sadiq Al-lami, who sadly died a short time later of his injuries following the best attempts of emergency services at the scene and at hospital.

Speaking of Sadiq, his loved ones said:

“Sadiq's warmth and love touched the hearts of everyone that he met. His love and laughter were contagious, and he was always full of life. Sadiq will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.”

Specially trained officers are continuing to support the family who have requested further privacy whilst they grieve for this loss.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
