Toddler Threatened with a Gun

A three year old child was threatened with a gun during a robbery in Sale.

At around 9.15am on Friday 20 November 2015, a man walked up to a woman and demanded her handbag before threatening her three year old child with a gun whilst they were walking down Springfield Road, in Sale. The man was described as white, with a tan, around 5ft 8in, with green eyes and wearing a baggy dark grey hoody and grey trousers. Both mother and child were unharmed but were obviously distressed. Detective Inspector Helen Bell from the GMP Trafford Division said: "Luckily no one was hurt in this terrifying robbery. We are taking this very seriously and we currently have officers in the area tracing where the man was before the incident and where he went after. "The robbery happened during a busy time with lots of people around, so we are sure there will be people who can help us with this investigation.
