Three Arrests In Moss Side killing

Trio arrested on suspicion of murder

There have been three further arrests after a man was murdered in Moss Side. At about 12.10pm on Tuesday police were called to Crondall Street in Moss Side to a report that a man had been stabbed. Emergency services attended and discovered that a man, who has been formally identified as Ahmed Mohammed, 20, had suffered stab wounds. A Home Office post-mortem examination has been carried out and found that he died from stab wounds to the neck and chest. Two men aged 22 and 24 have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 20-year-old man has been arrested for assisting an offender. All three remain in police custody for questioning. The 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody. The 18-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed until Wednesday 30 March 2016 pending further enquires.
