A teenager is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in Cheetham Hill.
Police were called to the incident on Woodlands Road at around 4:10pm this afternoon (11th November 2025).
Emergency services attended, and the teenager was taken to hospital for treatment for stab wounds to his leg.
Greater Manchester Police have cordoned off the scene and implemented a Section 60 dispersal order in the area until 10am on Wednesday 12th November.
This measure gives officers additional powers to stop and search individuals in the area.
Increased police presence in the area
Sergeant Anthony Dickinson from GMP’s North District said officers are conducting enquiries and will be more visible in the neighbourhood.
“You will notice an increase of officers in the area as they continue to conduct enquiries and offer community reassurance,” he said.
The Section 60 order is a preventative measure used in areas where police believe there is a risk of serious violence.

Sergeant Dickinson encouraged anyone with information about the incident or concerns to speak with an officer.
