Teenager seriously injured after hit and run in Moston

He suffered a broken leg and was stabbed twice

A teenager has been seriously injured in a hit and run crash and stabbing in Moston.

A car and a motobike collided on Moston Lane, close to the junction with Gill Street, at approximately 7:45pm on Tuesday (May 10).

One of the victims, a 19 year old man, had been travelling on his motorbike with a friend when they were hit by a silver Jaguar.

The rider and passenger were then attacked with weapons by two men, before the suspects drove away.

The was car abandoned and burned out a short time later on Collyhurst Road.

The 19 year old victim suffered a broken leg and two stab wounds.

Police are looking for two men, one of whom is described as mixed race, around 6ft tall, wearing a dark tracksuit.

The second suspect is described as white, or shorter stature, also weating a dark coloured tracksuit.

Detective Constable Liam Smith, of Greater Manchester Police, said:

“There were a number of people at the scene either walking past or in cars on Tuesday evening and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have dash cam footage showing the attack.

"This is completely mindless and unacceptable violence and we need to track down the offenders."
