Teenager jailed for murder of Sait Mboob in "gang-related attack"
17-year old Emil Bell will serve a minimum of 17 years in prison.
A 17-year old gang member's been jailed for life with a minimum term of 17 years after being found guilty of murdering 18-year old Sait Mboob in a pre-planned attack in Moss Side.
Emil Bell stabbed Sait to death during the attack on a rival group last year.
The court heard how Bell was part of the 7M gang in Ardwick and some of its members wearing masks and armed with machetes, knives and hammers travelled to Moss Side to attack a rival group.
It's not clear whether Sait was in a gang - but he was a "known target" of 7M and Bell stabbed him in what was described as an attack of "extreme violence."
The 17-year old claimed he was an "innocent bystander" but the jury disagreed.
Bell was found guilty of murder and three counts of causing grievous bodily harm.
During the trial, the court heard how Bell was part of the 7M gang who rapped about "Gunchester" and glorified extreme violence in music videos on Youtube.
