Teenager charged after Radcliffe stabbing

A man was attacked on Thursday

A teenager has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Radcliffe.

At around 3.45pm on Thursday, officers were called to reports a man was being chased by another male armed with a knife.

Shortly after, it was established that a man had been taken to hospital by a member of the public, having received a stab wound

While serious, his injuries are thankfully not believed to be life-threatening. The attack is believed to be targeted, with no wider threat to the public.

Daudi Bakari from Grange Grove, Whitefield has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) with intent and and possession of offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday 28 October 2024.
