Teen fighting for life after crash in south Manchester

A teenager is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash involving an off-road bike and an Audi Q2 car in south Manchester.

At around 3pm on Tuesday 23 July, police were called to Wilbraham Road following a collision that took place at the junction with Lloyd Street South.

The rider of the off-road bike, an 18-year-old, suffered injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. They remain in hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Rachael Stafford from Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) said; “Since the incident yesterday we are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to a young rider suffering serious injury.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or may have doorbell or dashcam footage in the moments leading up to, during or after the collision.
