Stockport County have narrowly miss out on an automatic promotion spot after drawing at home to Hartlepool.
Going into the final game of the season The Hatters to win and hope Northampton would drop points at Tranmere.
But, with already relegated Harltepool's Callum Cooke cancelling out Stockport's first half goal they we're un able to leapfrog The Cobblers and move into third place. They will instead have to settle for a play-off spot.
Dave Challinor's side still have a chance to achieve back-to-back promotions after winning the National League last season.
They will face Salford City in the semi finals of the play-offs
