Senior officer at GMP suspended after allegation of misconduct

They'll be investigated by the police watchdog

A senior Greater Manchester Police officer has been suspended from duty and referred to the police watchdog.

It follows an allegation of misconduct.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct will look into the officer's 'standards of professional behaviour'.

The force has released a statement from Deputy Chief Constable Terry Woods, QPM:

“Following an allegation of misconduct, a senior officer has been suspended from duty and referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for investigation into their standards of professional behaviour”.
