Second murder arrest over Rochdale flat attack

A man in his 50s was found unresponsive at the address in Lower Falinge on Monday

A second person has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man at a flat in Rochdale.

Emergency services rushed to the address in Lower Falinge on Monday night, where they found a man in his 50s unresponsive.

He was given CPR but died at the scene.

Police arrested a woman in her 40s on suspicion of murder, and she has since been released on bail.

Detectives have now revealed more about their investigation, including the arrest of a second person, a man in his 50s.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Naismith said: “Investigations are continuing into the sad death of this man in his 50s, we have been in constant contact with his family and kept them up to speed on developments."
