Rooney's NSPCC Role

Wayne Rooney's becoming the NSPCC's first Ambassador for Childhood.

The charity wants to encourage more boys suffering abuse or depression to tell someone.

The United and England captain will be the Charity's first Ambassador for childhood.

Boys are currently four times less likely to contact ChildLine than girls.

It's hoped Rooney’s involvement will encourage more boys to speak out.
