Police issue update as woman questioned over Rochdale murder

Police investigating the death of a man in Rochdale have issued an update, after a woman was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A man in his 50s was found unresponsive in a flat in Lower Falinge at around 22:50BST on Monday night (21 October).

Detectives have questioned a 48-yaer-old woman as part of their investigation, and have today confirmed she has been released on bail with conditions.

Officers are treating it as a targeted attack and have been going door-to-door as part of their enquiries.

Detective Superintendent, Phil Key said: “We are still keen to speak to anyone else who was in the area at the time of this incident and may have seen or heard anything suspicious."

Extra police patrols are being carried out in the area to offer reassurances to members of the public.
