Plane Makes Emergency Landing
Loud bangs and sparks seen coming from the engine.
A passenger plane heard making thudding noises in the skies above Manchester has made an emergency landing at Manchester Airport.
The JET2 flight from Barcelona with 144 people on board landed safely this afternoon after calling for assistance.
People have been uploading videos on twitter as they say the plane flying overhead:
JET2 has issued a statement to say:
“Flight LS804 from Barcelona did call for assistance on approach into Manchester as a precautionary measure due to a technical indication. The aircraft landed and all passengers have disembarked safely.”
