Police are continuing to search for suspects after a pensioner was hit by his own car during a robbery in Oldham.

It is believed the man, in his 70s, was ambushed by someone hiding in a bush on Stevenson Road at around 17:30 on Saturday evening (14 December).

The car was found abandoned minutes later.

The victim – a man in his 70s - was taken to hospital and remains there, receiving treatment to injuries that are not described as life-threatening or life-changing.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

“My team and I are determined to trace those responsible and are following up a number of lines of enquiry.

“We are appealing for any information that could assist with enquiries or any CCTV or mobile footage you may have – please get in touch with us.”
