Pensioner seriously injured in crash with car in Dukinfield

A pensioner's been left seriously injured after being hit by a car while on a pedestrian crossing in Dukinfield.

The 81 year-old woman was crossing on Foundry Street on Friday 4th November about 12.30pm when a Mercedes people carrier collided with her.

Emergency services were called and the woman was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene - no arrests have been made.

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to get in touch, including anyone with dashcam footage.
