A woman's died after a crash in Rochdale.

The 79-year-old was walking along Bury New Road in Heywood when she was involved in a collision with a black Peugeot 107 at about 10:20 am on Thursday (22nd June 2017).

She died in hospital last night (Friday 23rd)

Police Constable Paul Hailwood of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“My thoughts remain with her family and we have specially trained officers supporting her family at this difficult time.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision and I would appeal to anyone who may have information to come forward.

“We are particularly interested to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage.

“If you witnessed the collision or you think you may have any information that could assist our investigation then I would urge you to please contact the SCIU.”
